Creativity & Business
June 20 – 5:30-6:30pm
$5 – Affiliates / $10 – Non-affiliates
We’re used to hearing the phrase “work hard, play hard," but in a rapidly changing world, Connect the Grey argues that we’ve got it backwards. Starting with “play” develops the flexibility and awareness required to adapt to change and uncertainty in the work environment.
In this workshop, we will discuss how the creative processes used by artists are surprisingly relevant and useful for problem solving in the business world, and how to use those resources in your daily work. We’ll also discuss how business thinking and skills don’t have to be daunting for artists, and how they can enhance and support artistic practice.
Inspired by real-life examples, you’ll leave this session with ideas for understanding when, where, and how to effectively develop and engage your own creative skill set.
