Join the Twin Rivers [Movers + Shakers] for Stories of Healing Through the Arts! A panel of three professional artists who will be sharing their stories of life’s trials and tribulations and how they broke through to the other side with the help and healing power of the arts. They will touch on topics such as addiction, mental illness, and trauma in a raw and uninhibited setting. 

Stacy K has been a long time dedicated songwriter and musician. Her journey with music started at the young age of four when she won the title of Miss Petite of Minnesota. From there she studied and performed throughout her formative years, played in The Johnny Holm Band, has written and recorded five original albums, performed at The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, played for the US Troops in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, and potentially every music venue in the Upper Midwest. Recently, Stacy K performed at Mankato’s Festival Solstice and RibFest and has released two new singles called Feels Good and Chemical Reaction.

Melissa Ketchum is a freelance fashion & costume designer under the name Meli Made Artistry. She’s participated in the Raw Fusion Fashion show for the past two years and received the “People’s Choice” award and the “Eye Candy” award for best use of theme. Melissa is also a freelance professional make-up artist specializing in bridal make-up as well as high fashion. She recently launched her personal blog “Lithium by Night” addressing the importance of clarity of mind and good mental health. Her goal is to educate people and encourage others to share their story when they feel necessary.

David Gadberry, Ph.D. the director of Music Education at Minnesota State Mankato and also teaches music classes at local preschools as well as leading music groups at adolescent treatment centers in the area. Gadberry has been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 10 years and has led introductory meditation experiences in personal and professional settings.
