Twin Rivers Invites You to Become a Best in Art Series Participating Artist

Do you know an artist deserving of recognition? Are you an artist looking for an opportunity to present your work to the art community? Submit an artist nomination for the upcoming show in Twin Rivers’ Best in Art Series. Each quarter three artists are selected to showcase their work at the event. Each of the three artists receives a stipend for participating, with event guests voting for which artist will receive a $1,000 grant. Artists that are not selected for the current event in the series will remain in the selection pool for the next quarter.

Nomination Criteria:

  • The Best in Art series is open to artists of all disciplines: visual arts, performance arts, musical arts, culinary arts, etc.

  • All nominations are required to submit contact information for the artist. Twin Rivers staff will reach out to artists with updates to their status in the selection process. Artists that do not respond to official communications within two business days will be at risk of losing their place in the current event.

  • Each nomination must be accompanied by examples of the artist’s recent (within the last year) body of work. Files will be able to be submitted through the nomination form and should be labeled with the artist’s name, the title of the work, and the dimensions of each piece. (Up to five attachments per nomination form)

  • Selected artists will be expected to provide a headshot and brief artist bio.

  • Selected artists will be expected to give a 10 minute demonstration on the day of the event. A demonstration can mean whatever the artist would like to share with the group to win the $1,000. Things like - give the public a taste of what you've already done in the area, what you would use the money for (wish list, future projects, school, insurance - literally anything to advance their artistic profession), or future projects that you're working toward that may need more compensation. This event is to gift artists money so they all can keep art alive in the region.

The deadline to nominate an artist for this event is Monday, May 13th.
