Braun uses historic photos and unique scenes as a base reference for his illustrations. He focuses on each subject of his illustrations by “allowing the subject to be highlighted within a circular setting”, noted by his repetitive circles of importance found on most of his illustrations. His current work is done in pencil on textured paper as he attempts to capture realistic images through detail, highlights, shadows and intersecting points. Braun’s work can be found commercially in many company’s literature, manuals, designs and labels as well as in community documents, signage and in multitudes of private homes as possessions of unique illustrations of history, sports, music and life events.
Mark is on the Board of Directors for Twin Rivers and is generously donating a portion of the shows sales to our organization. Thank you Mark!
